CANSU translates the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development into local action. A major implementation challenge is to adapt the internationally agreed framework to the diverse local circumstances. Gender is a compounding factor as gender relations are complex and may vary with culture, social class, age group, education or ethnicity
